Growing up in Dallas, Texas, I developed an early fondness for big ideas and the great outdoors. At The Hockaday School, I also discovered a passion for reading and interdiscplinary studies that I was lucky to continue at Stanford University, where I earned a B.A. in Human Biology and a minor in Spanish. For several years, I worked in NYC and Austin as an editor and writer, but soon returned to graduate school to study anthropology. I received my M.A. from The New School for Social Research, focusing on medical and environmental anthropology. Since then, I've been a researcher and editor, motivated by an insatiable curiosity about people's actions and a concern for the world we share. On May 14th, 2016, I married my sweetheart, Jacob Morris. We currently live and work in the Hudson Valley, where I pursue my favorite hobbies: hiking, vegetarian cooking, trivia nights, and writing my first novel.
